Pilotfish C-pod launches at Southampton Boat Show 15th September 2006

Pilotfish, the Swedish marine technology company, have launched the C-pod, an innovative web-based security management device for boat owners. Launched today at the 2006 Southampton Boat Show, the C-pod combines a GPS receiver with GPRS mobile 'phone technology to allow boat owners to track and monitor their floating assets globally. The C-pod offers a modern wireless technology solution for the ever present threat of theft to expensive boats.

The C-pod acts as the owners 'eyes and ears' whilst the boat or yacht is left unattended. The C-pod monitors the boats position continuously using GPRS technology. The C-pod also integrates and monitors other important onboard systems; power failure, fire, high water or motion - the C-pod has the ability to instantly send the information via the web and a message via SMS, and/or email to the owner.

The C-pod currently retails for less than £700 and there are a range of C-Pod accesories and addtional sensors.

Pilotfish Marine AB is a Swedish company that specialises in providing telematic solutions for the leisure boating and yachting industry. Pilotfish Marine develops, manufactures and markets Yacht Management Systems under the C-pod, SeaKey and Messenger brands.
